(2.) DISPUTE in this writ petition pertains to the appointment of a Lamberdar in village Rani Bhatti, Sub Tehil Bhogpur, District Jalandhar. On accrual of vacancy, applications were invited. The petitioner and respondent No.4, along with three other persons, were the contesting candidates. The Collector, on appreciation of evidence on record, appointed respondent No.4 as a Lamberdar. Appeal and revision petition filed by the petitioner were dismissed.
