JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to allow the petitioners to opt Punjab Municipal Employees Pension and General Provident Fund Rules, 1994 and to decide their representations dated 27.3.2006, 18.4.2006 and 4.8.2006 Without going into the merits of the case, we deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to take cognizance of the representation, dated 4.8.2006 (P-5) sent by the petitioners and decide
