JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition, filed by a convict undergoing life imprisonment, against the jail punishment awarded to him. The petitioner was awarded jail punishment of forfeiture of remissions of five days for not remaining present on the point where he was to work and for not performing his duty.

(2.) THE respondents have filed the written statement.

(3.) I have heard learned counsel for the parties.
