JUDGEMENT

(1.) Prayer in the present application is for suspension of sentence of applicant -appellant Ashwani Kumar alias Assu, during the pendency of appeal.

(2.) Notice of the application to respondent(s) -State. On the asking of the Court, Mr. P.S.Grewal, DAG, Punjab, has accepted notice on behalf of respondent(s) -State and filed custody certificate. Same is taken on record.

(3.) Learned Sessions Judge, Moga, vide judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 21.02.2015, held the applicant -appellant guilty for the commission of offence punishable under Section 364 IPC and sentenced him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years and to pay a fine of Rs.25,000/ - under the aforesaid Section.
