JUDGEMENT

(1.) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent no.5.

(2.) During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners has produced the affidavits of both the petitioners. As per their affidavits, petitioner No.1 -Neha Rani has studied upto M.A. in Political science and presently she is working as a teacher in KIDZEE School, Cheeka, District Kaithal whereas petitioner no.2 -Rakesh Sharma is working as Customer Service Representative -cum -Data Entry Operator in Wip Info (International KPO), Phase -VIIIB, Mohali and earning upto Rs.12,000/ - per month and therefore, they are in a position to maintain themselves.

(3.) Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners are major and have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. However, respondent no.5 is not accepting their marriage and is adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. Learned counsel further submits that in view of imminent danger to the life and liberty of the petitioners, they had moved a representation dated 30.5.2016 (Annexure P -5) to the respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib.
