KAMALJIT KAUR Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C for issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her children at the hands of respondents No.5 to 7.

(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after the death of husband of the petitioner, she is being harassed by private respondents. He further submits that earlier a compromise was arrived at between the parties but subsequently, again on 25.06.2014, the petitioner was given beatings and she remained admitted in the hospital. A written representation was made by the petitioner to the Deputy Commissioner, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, which is annexed as Annexure P-1 with the petition, but no action has been taken thereupon so far.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and considering that no action has been taken on the representation moved by the petitioner, which is pending with the authorities concerned, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to consider the representation (Annexure P-1) and take necessary action in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as private respondent(s) within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
