JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present petition has been filed by accused petitioner Ravi, by invoking the provisions of Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, for the grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.76 dated 03.03.2016 under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323 and 307 IPC, Police Station Sector 31, Chandigarh.

As per prosecution allegations, on 03.03.2016 at about 11.30 O' clock, accused petitioner Ravi armed with a knife along with his co -accused Rocky, Shubham, Gale, Akshay and Ashish went to the house of complainant -Paramjit@ Baby, wife of Rajinder Kumar and attacked their family members with the intention to kill them. They caused injuries to the complainant. The petitioner caused injuries with the knife on the hands of Vishal. He also caused injuries to Sajan and Rajinder Kumar, the husband of the complainant with the intention to kill him. It is alleged that some days prior to the present occurrence, the present petitioner along with Rocky and Shubham at the point of knife had snatched Rs.500/ - from Vishal, son of the complainant. On these allegations, the present case was registered.

(3.) The application moved by the petitioner for the grant of anticipatory bail has been dismissed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Chandigarh. Hence, this petition to this Court.
