JUDGEMENT

(1.) The prayer made in the writ petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to remove pay anomaly- hardship in the pay scale of the petitioners who are Haryana Agriculture Services (HAS-II) (Group B) Officers, by fixing the pay at par with their juniors- subordinates (CAO Group-C) w.e.f. 1.1.1991 and further to direct the respondents to grant an open ended pay scale to them w.e.f. 1.1.1991 as the same is granted to their juniors vide Haryana Government letter dated 14.5.1991 (P-1) and to the private Secretaries of Haryana Civil Secretariat (Group B) vide letter dated 26.6.1992 (P-2) with all consequential benefits.

(2.) For the aforementioned relief claimed in the present writ petition, the petitioners have already got served a legal notice dated 11.2.2005 (P-3), upon the respondents.

Without going into the merits of the case, we deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to take cognizance of the legal notice sent by the petitioners and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is presented to them. If the claim of the petitioners is found to be meritorious and decided in their favour then the benefit accruing to the petitioners shall be disbursed within a further period of two months thereafter. It shall be appreciated if a speaking order is passed. Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
