JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution prays for issuance of directions to the respondents to supply information regarding number of total posts, posts vacant and abolished and appointments given to Clerks on compassionate grounds in the case of field offices of Education Department in respect of Clerks as the aforementioned information is required by the Petitioner for establishing her right for appointment on compassionate grounds in view of her husbands death while working as Punjabi Teacher in Government Senior Secondary School, Saha, District Ambala.

(2.) For the relief claimed in the instant petition, the petitioner has already sent representations, dated 27.12.2005, 24.3.2006, 30.5.2006 and 14.7.2006 (P-1 to P-4) to respondent No. 2. Without going into the merits of the case, we deem it just and appropriate to direct respondent No. 2 to take cognizance of the aforementioned representations, Annexures P-1 to P-4, sent by the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is presented to them. It shall be appreciated if a speaking order is passed.

(3.) Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
