JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition for quashing of FIR No. 347 dated 18.12.2002 registered at Police Station, Malerkotla under Sections 51/53/63/67 of Copy Right Act, 1957 and Section 420 IPC.

(2.) COUNSEL for the petitioner argues that petitioner had a licence copy Annexure P-1 and he could run movie in his Video Parlour. That a case was wrongly registered against him at the instance of respondent No. 2 who claims himself to be Manager of Harbhajan Singh Mann. That petitioner had a licence but that licence could not be produced at the time of raid.

(3.) TAKING into account the nature of the offence and the fact that petitioner had valid licence and the complainant has since compromised, this petition is accepted and FIR No. 347 dated 18.12.2002 is quashed. Petition allowed.
