THIS petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution prays for quashing order dated 31.1.2004 ( Annexure P.6) passed by respondent no.4, The Senior Superintendent of Police, Rewari stopping one increment of the petitioner with permanent effect. The afore-mentioned order has been passed after holding a regular departmental enquiry in which the petitioner has been duly associated. Respondent no. 5 submitted his report which constitute basis for issuing a show cause notice by respondent no.4 to the petitioner. Thereafter, the impugned order dated 31.1.2004 ( Annexure P.6) has been passed imposing punishment of stoppage of one increment with permanent effect.
