MAJOR SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

Decided On October 16, 2006
MAJOR SINGH Appellant
V/S
STATE OF PUNJAB Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) (Oral)

(2.) THIS is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for directions to the respondent to conduct a fair and independent investigation in a cross case lodged at the instance of the petitioner. It is pleaded that for the same incident, FIR was lodged. Since the petitioners' side also received injuries, therefore, cross case has also been lodged. Despite the case having been lodged in the month of June, 2006, neither any arrest has been made nor the investigation has progressed. The investigation has not been conducted fairly in view of the influence of one Chaman Lal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, who is stated to be siding with the other party.
