JUDGEMENT

(1.) The instant writ petition was adjourned on 6.8.2002 to await the decision of the Supreme Court in `Hargurpratap Singh and others v. State of Punjab and others' (Civil Appeal No.8745 of 2003 arising out of Special Leave Petition (C) No.14751 of 2003).

(2.) It is the contention of learned counsel for the respondents that Hargurpratap Singh's case (supra) has since been adjudicated upon by the Apex Court, wherein the following order has been passed on 7.11.2003:-

(3.) Learned counsel for the respondents, therefore, states that the instant writ petition be disposed of in the same terms as the decision rendered in Hargurpratap Singh's case (supra) by the Apex Court. Ordered accordingly.
