JUDGEMENT

(1.) CASE of the prosecution is that Narinder Kaur was married to Piara Singh on 10.3.2004. She was harassed for dowry and ultimately, she died and her dead body was recovered on 3.6.2004. It was alleged that the petitioner, who was elder brother of the husband of the deceased, had also harassed the deceased for dowry.

(2.) THIS petition has been filed on the plea that the petitioner was innocent. THIS is not a matter, which can be gone into in quashing proceedings. Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
