(2.) HEARD counsel for the parties.
(3.) THE contention of the counsel for the petitioners is that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the case. He further submits that no serious and specific role is attributed to any of them and specially to Nand Lal and Bhupinder Singh. On the other hand, the contention of learned counsel for the State is that these petitioners have played a fraud of a very serious nature. According to the investigation Bharat Pal and Narinder Kumar are admittedly the lawful owners who are in possession of the land in question. Both of them are Graduate and Engineering Graduate respectively. Thus according to the counsel for the State the question of these two owners putting thumb impressions on the power of attorney or signing in Punjabi does not arise. The value of the land as per the price -list published by the Government is proximately Rs. 40 lacs which is stated to have been sold for a sum of Rs. 25,000/ - by forging documents and impersonating the lawful owners.
