(1.) Six petitioners in this case were admitted to the two years course leading to the Diploma in Education (Urdu) in July, 1993. They have already taken the examination at the end of first term. They have almost completed the entire course and have to appear in the final examination to be held in April/May, 1995. Apprehending that their admissions were going to be cancelled, the petitioners have approached this Court through the present writ petition. On account of the interim order passed by the Motion Bench, the petitioners have continued their course of studies.
(2.) On behalf of the respondents, the only objection is with regard to petitioner No.5, who, it is alleged had not qualified the written test prior to his admission. With regard to the other petitioners, vague allegations have been made that their names were not borne on the merit list.
(3.) It is the admitted position that the respondents themselves have admitted the petitioners. They have already studied for almost two years. In this situation, the discontinuance of the course of study would result in hardship to the petitioners and would not help the respondents in any manner. In these circumstances it is directed that the respondents shall not cancel the admission of the petitioners and shall allow them to complete the course of study and to take the examination in accordance with the Regulations. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with no order as to costs. The respondents shall declare the petitioner's result for the first year forthwith.
