JUDGEMENT

(1.) The Writ Petitioner has challenged the rejection of her prayer for placing her in the restructured cadre, namely, Senior Telecom Operating Assistant (TOA) by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench.

(2.) The Petitioner was appointed as TOA in the scale of Rs. 975-1660 on compassionate grounds. She joined the service on 6.9.1994. The respondent-Department of Telecommunication restructured the cadres and created a new cadre, namely, Senior TOA in the scale of Rs. 1350-2040 which was to be filled from two sources namely (i) Walk-in-Group and (ii) Officials who qualify screening test.

(3.) It was contended by the Writ Petitioner that she completed her training for the post of Senior TOA along with her other colleagues, however she was denied the post of Senior TOA.
