JUDGEMENT

(2.) Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

(3.) Petitioner is 47 years old woman and is Orthopaedically handicapped with 50% disability of both legs on account of Polio. She has been working in the Public Works Department (B&R) Branch of the Punjab Government. She got married sometimes in the year 1980 and her husband, who is Lecturer in the Government College, Faridkot, is also handicapped with minimum 40% disability of left arm. Medical certificates of petitioner and her husband are placed on record as Annexures P-1 and P-2. On compassionate grounds, it appears, respondent No. 2 vide his order dated June 30, 1994, Annexure P-5, transferred the petitioner from Ferozepur to Faridkot in the public interest as her husband is serving at Faridkot.
