JUDGEMENT

(1.) Writ petition is admitted. Mr. Kamal Sharma, Addl. Advocate-General, appears for the respondents. Pleadings of the parties are complete. By consent writ petition is placed on board and called out for hearing.

(2.) The petitioner claims himself to be similarly situated with the petitioners in Civil Writ Petition Nos. 905 and 4265 of 1989 decided on 6.8.1992 wherein a direction was issued to the respondents to consider the cases of those petitioners for promotion to Class-II posts. The petitioner has filed this petition claiming the benefit of the said decision on the footing that he is qualified to be considered for promotion to Class-II post on the basis of acquiring the requisite qualification on 4.2.1975.
