SUKHDEV KAUR Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) SUKHDEV Kaur (victim) has filed this appeal under Section 372 Cr.P.C. against judgment dated 14.11.2013 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar vide which respondents Simarjit Kaur and Balwinder Kaur were acquitted of the charges framed against them under Section 304 -B IPC and in alternative under Section 302 IPC. However, accused Mohinder Singh, husband of deceased Jaswinder Kaur @ Jassi was convicted and sentenced under Section 304 -B IPC for which separate appeal of the convict is pending.

(2.) WE have heard learned counsel for the appellant and have also examined the impugned judgment carefully.

(3.) IN this order, we will confine discussion only qua the role of sister -in -law Simarjit Kaur and mother -in -law Balwinder Kaur.
