SABINA AND OTHERS Vs. JUHURUDDIN AND OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The appellants have moved this Court for enhancing the amount of compensation on account of the death of Jafru and Mehboob, who were survived by appellants Sabina and others and Asgari and others respectively.

(2.) Learned counsel for the appellants argued that in both the cases the Tribunal awarded Rs.25,000/- for loss of consortium to the widows and Rs.10,000/- for transportation and last rites. Nothing was awarded towards love and affection.

(3.) Learned counsel for the Insurance Company did not have any valid argument to offer regarding enhancement in the amount of consortium and funeral expenses etc. Regarding love and affection also, the appellants are required to be compensated.
