JUDGEMENT

(1.) CHALLENGE in this criminal revision petition is to the judgment dated 3.1.2013, passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ferozepur, whereby the appeal filed by the petitioner, Veena Rani, challenging her conviction and sentence for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (for brevity, 'the Act'), passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ferozepur, was dismissed.

(2.) DURING pendency of the present criminal revision petition, it was submitted before this Court that the petitioner has sorted out her dispute with the complainant -respondent No. 1, Sohan Singh Sodhi, and effected a compromise with him. In view of the said submissions, the parties were directed to appear before the learned Area Judicial Magistrate for getting their respective statements recorded with regard to the said compromise. The learned Court below was also directed to send the detailed report in that regard.

(3.) IN compliance of the order passed by this Court, the petitioner, Veena Rani, and the complainant -respondent No. 1, Sohan Singh Sodhi, did appear before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ferozepur, and got recorded their respective statements with regard to the compromise, the copies thereof have been received along with the detailed report of the said Court. In his statement, the complainant -respondent No. 1, Sohan Singh Sodhi, stated as under: -
