JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE instant petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of F.I.R. No. 78 dated 29.09.2013 registered for the offence under Sections 323, 324, 452, 148 and 149 IPC at police station Mulepur, District Fatehgarh Sahib on the basis of compromise dated 06.02.2014 (Annexure P -2).

(2.) VIDE order dated 14.03.2014, parties were directed to appear before the Illaqa Magistrate for recording their statements in support of the compromise. Illaqa Magistrate was also directed to send its report regarding the genuineness of the compromise.

(3.) LEARNED counsel for the State on instructions from the Investigating Officer and learned counsel for respondent No. 2 admit the factum of compromise and submit that the matter has been compromised between the parties and they would have no objection to the quashing of the FIR in view of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
