(1.) THIS order will dispose of the above mentioned two criminal miscellaneous petitions i.e. Criminal Misc. No.M -10958 of 2014 filed by Gulzar Singh and another under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.66 dated 24.4.2013 registered for the offences under Sections 307 and 34 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at Police Station Chamkaur Sahib, District Rupnagar and Criminal Misc. No.M -11107 of 2014 filed by Kuldeep Singh and others for quashing of cross -version case dated 25.4.2013 registered for the offences under Sections 447, 337, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act in case FIR No.66 dated 24.4.2013 and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise.

THE FIR and the cross -version were got registered against each other by the petitioners of both the petitions as dispute arose due to fight ensued between the parties on account ploughing of land by Kuldeep Singh and party, alleged to be purchased by them, but was in possession of Gulzar Singh and party and they tried to stop them from ploughing the land, in which injuries with fire arms shots were received by both the parties. Now with the intervention of respectables and Panchayat of the Village, both the parties decided to settle their differences and had arrived at a mutually settled compromise dated 5.3.2014 and have decided to get the FIR and cross -version quashed.

KEEPING in view the fact that the parties have entered into a compromise, they were directed to appear before learned trial Court for getting their statements recorded in support of the compromise. After doing the needful, learned Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court), Rupnagar has sent his report dated 22.5.2014 in both the petitions submitting that the compromise arrived at between the parties is without any pressure or coercion from any one and the same is genuine. Complainants Kuldeep Singh and Gulzar Singh in both the cases have stated that they have effected compromise voluntarily, with free consent and without force and have no objection if the FIR and cross -version are quashed.
