JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE appeal is for enhancement of claim for compensation for death of a male, aged 20 years, in an accident that took place on 18.02.2001. The claimant was the father. The deceased was said to be engaged in agriculture work and dairy farming. He was said to earning Rs. 3,000/ - per month. The Tribunal assessed a lumpsum compensation of Rs. 1,50,000/ -.

(2.) I shall rework the compensation, taking the average income at Rs. 3,000/ - per month considering that he was a young man of 20 years, who had not yet started his living and take the contribution to the father at Rs. 1,500/ - per month. I will apply a multiplier of 18 and tabulate the various heads of claims as under: -
