JUDGEMENT

(1.) LEARNED counsel for the parties have been heard.

(2.) THIS appeal is preferred against the award dated 19.05.2009 passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Sonepat ('Tribunal' -for short), whereby compensation to the tune of Rs. 83,000/ - was awarded to the appellants on account of injuries received by Mastana (since deceased) who was the husband of appellant No. 1 and father of appellant No. 2 and proforma respondents No. 1 and 2.

(3.) IT may be necessary to mention here that initially the petition was filed by Mastana himself for claiming compensation for the injuries received by him. Later on he died and he was represented by his legal representatives.
