JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is claimant's appeal challenging the impugned award dated 05.10.1995, passed by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Rohtak, (for short, 'the Tribunal').

(2.) The learned counsel contends that the appellant being police official, on the orders of his superior, was chasing the truck bearing registration No.DIG-3972. The injuries were sustained during the course of the performance of his official duties. He suffered number of injuries but no amount was awarded, except an amount of Rs. 25,000.00 allowed under the 'no fault liability'.

(3.) On the other hand, he learned counsel for the respondents have vehemently opposed the prayer.
