SANDEEP Vs. STATE OF HARYANA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS order will dispose of 14 appeals bearing LPAs No.1955, 2145, 2146, 2155, 2156, 2170, 2171 all of the year 2013 and LPAs No. 6, 28, 29, 61, 89, 178 and 327 all of the year 2014, as common questions of law and facts are involved therein. To dictate order, facts are being taken from LPA No. 1955 of 2013.

(2.) THIS appeal has been filed against judgment passed by the learned Single Judge on 16.8.2013, dismissing CWP No. 1924 of 2007. The said writ petition was filed by the petitioners/appellants with a prayer that writ of mandamus be issued to the respondents for issuance of appointment letters against the post of Constables.

(3.) AS per facts on record, 819 posts of Constables were advertised on 18.9.2004. Last date to submit the applications was fixed as 4.10.2004 and thereafter, it was extended upto 14.10.2004. It is stated that the appellants were eligible and they applied for the said posts. To select the candidates, Selection Boards were constituted at Kurukshetra, Karnal, Bhiwani and Rewari. 270 posts were allocated to Bhiwani and 180 posts each to rest of the Selection Boards.
