JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the order passed by the Board of Governors, whereby extension was granted to respondent No.6. to continue as Vice Chancellor of the Punjab Technical University.

(2.) THE important question involved in the present case is as to whether extension granted to respondent No.6 as Vice Chancellor of the University is as per Section 10 of the Punjab Technical University Act, 1996 (the Act for short).

(3.) THEREAFTER , petitioner represented to the Chairman of the Board of Governors on 17.7.2013. On 19.8.2013, it was announced by the University that extension granted to respondent No.6 had been upheld. Hence, the present petition.
