JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE appeal is for enhancement of claim for compensation for death of a male, aged 41 years in an accident that took place on 04.06.1998. The deceased was a Junior Engineer with the Haryana State Electricity Board at Naguran. The Upper Division Clerk, Operation Division, HSEB, Narwana (PW7) secured proof of the fact that the deceased was earning Rs. 8,836/ - per month. The Tribunal assessed the compensation, by applying a multiplier of 13, at Rs. 9,10,000/ -. I find the assessment to be inadequate and not in conformity with the scales laid down through the recent decisions of the Supreme Court as regards the prospect of future increase, determination of dependence and the provision for conventional heads of claim and tabulate them as under: -
