JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE present petition under Section 482, Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners, namely, Gurjinder Singh, Ravinder Singh and Paramjeet Kaur, for quashing of FIR No. 372, dated 3.12.2012, under Sections 406 and 498 -A, IPC, registered at Police Station, Zirakpur, District S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali, and all the consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise.

(2.) VIDE order dated 11.3.2014, this Court had directed the affected parties to appear on 27.3.2014 before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mohali, for getting their respective statements recorded with regard to the compromise. The said Court was also directed to submit a detailed report in that regard along with copies of the statements on or before the date fixed by this Court.

(3.) IN compliance of the above, respondent No. 2 - complainant, Jashanjeet Kaur, as well as all the three petitioners did appear before learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mohali. The statement of respondent No. 2 -complainant and a joint statement of the petitioners with regard to the compromise, were recorded. Respondent No. 2 -complainant, Jashanjeet Kaur, stated as under:
