JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE appeal is for enhancement of claim for compensation. The accident took place on 25.11.2000 in which the appellant suffered fracture of right hand and the disability was assessed at 30%. The Tribunal had provided for Rs. 8000/ - borne through bills, though the claimant contended that he had spent Rs. 60,000/ -. I shall not modify this head. As regards the disability, the Tribunal assessed that the percentage assessed was qua limb and not for the whole body and granted Rs. 10,000/ -. I increase it to Rs. 30,000/ -. For a fracture of the limb, it granted Rs. 10,000/ - which I retain. It has also provided Rs. 17,000/ - for loss of income and Rs. 5,000/ - towards conveyance charges. I retain the same. The additional compensation shall be Rs. 20,000/ - which the Insurance Company will pay at 7.5% interest per annum from the date of petition till the date of payment.

(2.) THE award is modified and the appeal is allowed to the above extent.
