JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short, 'Cr.P.C.') seeking quashing of FIR No. 41 dated 19.04.2011 (Annexure P -1), registered for offences punishable under Sections 406 and 498 -A of Indian Penal Code (for short 'IPC') at Police Station Division No. 4, Ludhiana City along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of the compromise (Annexure P -2).

(2.) THE FIR in this case pertains to the allegations levelled by respondent No. 2 -complainant regarding her harassment and maltreatment by the petitioner on demand of dowry.

(3.) I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the case file.
