JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS order will dispose of the above mentioned two criminal miscellaneous petitions i.e. Criminal Misc. No.M -40823 of 2013 filed by Dilbagh Singh alias Bagga, Sukhdev Singh, Raj Kaur, Satpal Singh, Ranjit Singh and Gurdev Singh under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.70 dated 10.4.2013 registered for the offences under Sections 323, 324, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station Jandiala Guru, District Amritsar and Criminal Misc. No.M -40838 of 2013 filed by Ranjit Singh alias Fauji, Sukhwinder Singh, Harpreet Singh and Baljeet Singh alias Billa for quashing of cross -version recorded vide DDR No.21 dated 13.4.2013 for the offences under Sections 324, 323, 148 and 149 IPC and Section 326 IPC, which was added later on, at Police Station Jandiala, District Amritsar in FIR No.70 dated 10.4.2013 on the basis of compromise Annexure -P.2 in Criminal Misc. No.M -40823 of 2013 and Annexure -P.3 in Criminal Misc. No.M -40838 of 2013.

(2.) ON 3.12.2013, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate/Illaqa Magistrate was directed to send reports with regard to the genuineness/validity or otherwise of the compromise (Annexures -P.2 and P.3) recorded in both the petitions respectively after recording the statements of all the concerned parties.

(3.) LEARNED Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from the Investigating Officer admits the factum of compromise and has no objection if the impugned FIR and cross -version and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.
