JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS order shall dispose of the present petition filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in FIR No.54 dated 1.6.2012, under Sections 22, 61, 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (for short 'the Act'), registered at Police Station Dehlon, District Ludhiana.

(2.) THERE would be no requirement to go into the merits of the case since the petitioner is seeking bail under proviso to Section 167(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

(3.) LEARNED counsel for the parties have been heard.
