JUDGEMENT

(1.) PRAYER in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, Gurjeet Singh, son of Major Singh, resident of House No. 1092, Sector 68, Mohali, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506, IPC, in a case arising out of FIR No. 70, dated 7.6.2013, registered at Police Station, Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran.

(2.) LEARNED counsel contended that the complainant, Surinder Singh, was a customer of the petitioner and on account of some money transaction, a dispute arose and the petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case just to pressurize the petitioner to part with hefty amount.

(3.) LEARNED counsel for the State on instructions from ASI Balwinder Lal of Police Station, Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran, submitted that the petitioner has been declared as a proclaimed offender not only in the present case, but in yet another FIR No. 22 of 2013, under Sections 420 and 506, IPC, registered at Police Station, Sadar, Tarn Taran, as well.
