JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is claimant's appeal for enhancement of the compensation.

(2.) RAJIV Kumar, minor, through his father had filed a claim petition under Section 110-A of the Motor Vehicles Act in the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Patiala, (hereinafter referred to as the Tribunal) claiming Rs. 2 lacs as compensation for the injuries sustained by him in a vehicular accident alleged to have taken place on 26. 2. 1983. The Tribunal vide its award dated 30. 4. 1984 had awarded a sum of Rs. 42,500/- with 9% PA interest as compensation.

(3.) THE challenge to the award is that appropriate rate of interest and compensation have not been awarded to the claimant.
