SAROJ DEVI Vs. STATE OF HARYANA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) These are writ petitions. Civil Writ Petition No. 15912 of 1992 has been filed by Ms. Saroj Devi and others and C.W.R No. 16626 of 1992 has been filed by four petitioners Ms. Sunita and others inter alia for a relief that the respondents be directed to treat the petitioners as eligible for the post of Laboratory Technician.

(2.) The Subordinate Services Selection Board, haryana issued advertisement No. 3 pf 1992, Category No. 14 in respect of some posts of Laboratory Technicians (Malaria) for the health Department, Government of Haryana dated 7.7.1992. The following academic qualifications were required for these posts:-

(3.) The petitioners passed their Diploma in Laboratory Technician Vocational Course from the Government Vocational Institute Rohtak/Karnal. The case of the petitioners is that the certificates which they have obtained from the Vocational Training Institute are equivalent to the Diploma in Laboratory Technician from bacteriologist Laboratory, Karnal and in any case, it should be treated as an Institute recognised by the Government of Haryana as the Vocational Training Institutes are run by the Industrial Training Department, Government of Haryana.
