(1.) SHRI Avtar Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nakodar has filed an affidavit stating that on 3rd of August, 1993 at about 9 P.M. the truck No. RSF/2595 came at the Naka headed by S.H.O. Hardev Singh in the area of village Kakar Kalan which was got stopped with the signal of torch light. The said truck was taken into custody along with driver Jasmail Singh by the police party headed by S.H.O. Hardev Singh. It has been further stated in para 4 of the affidavit that three persons namely Mohan Singh, Singara Singh and Balkar Singh (accused) absconded from the said truck who were identified by A.S.I. Bakshish Singh and S.I./S.H.O. Darshan Singh Bedi, who knew them previously and that 121 bags of poppy husk were recovered from the truck. Since huge quantity of poppy husk has been recovered from the truck, no case for bail is made out. Dismissed. Petition dismissed.
