JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS judgment will dispose of FAO No. 1015 of 1984, Cross objection No. 54 -C -II of 1985 filed by Gurtej Singh, Respondent No. 1, driver of offending Bus No. PUF -5209 and Cross Objection No. 88 -C -II of 1989 file by United India Insurance Co. Ltd., Respondent No. 3 which have arisen out of the award of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Faridkot.

(2.) THE Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Faridkot, (hereinafter referred to as the Tribunal) vide its award dated 10 -9 -1984, had awarded a sum of Rs. 59,000/ - as compensation to the claimant Balbir Singh on account of the injuries sustained by him in a road accident.

(3.) I have considered the submissions of the Counsel for the parties and perused the case file.
