JUDGEMENT

(1.) SIX petitioners afore mentioned alongwith four others, namely, Jagir Singh, Khushal Singh, Bachan Singh and Nand Singh residents of village Nihanganwala were brought to trial for causing simple and grievous injuries to Makhan Singh, Sataam, Harnam Singh and Gopal Singh and haying been found guilty thereof, were convicted under Sections 148/326/325/324/323/149, Indian Penal Code and were sentenced to various term& of imprisonment and fine by the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Ferozepur, on February 11, 1981. On appeal, the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ferozepur, acquitted Jagir Singh, Khushal Singh, Bachan Singh and Nand Singh of the charges but while maintaining the convictions of the petitioners under Sections 148, 325, 325/149, 324, 324/149, 323 and 323/149, Indian Penal Code, sentenced them as under: 1. Kala Singh U/Ss. 148 and 324, IPC Released on probation

(2.) LABH Singh U/Ss 148 and 325/323, IPC" Released on probation.

(3.) KISHAO Singh U/Ss 148 and 323, IPC Released on probation.
