JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioners namely Harpreet Kaur and Aladeen @ Bhola have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for seeking protection of their life and personal liberty from private respondents No. 4. to 6.

(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioners INTER ALIA contends that the petitioners are major and are staying together in live-in relationship. However, their relationship is not acceptable to the private respondents No. 4 to 6 and as a result thereof, the private respondents No. 4 to 6 are threatening the petitioners. A representation dtd. 26/5/2023 (Annexure P-4) against the threat extended at the hands of the private respondents No. 4 to 6 already stands submitted by the petitioners to the respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana.

(3.) The petitioners apprehend threat to their lives and claim that there is a constant danger of being implicated in a false case.
