(1.) Vide this judgment, above mentioned two petitions would be disposed of as the controversy involved in both the case is the same.
(2.) Petitioner has filed a complaint against respondents under Sections 406, 498-A and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 .
(3.) Case of the petitioner, in brief, is that she had got married to Ashok Kumar on 31.1.1990. Sufficient dowry was given at the time of their marriage by the parents of the petitioner. However, after marriage, Ashok Kumar and his family members demanded scooter and Rs. 50,000/- in cash. Two children were born to the petitioner out of her wedlock. On 30.7.1992, petitioner was given beatings by the accused and she was thrown out of the matrimonial home. On many occasions, petitioner was thrown out of the matrimonial home along with her child after giving beatings to her. Lastly, petitioner was thrown out of the matrimonial home on 14.6.1999. Efforts regarding re-conciliation made by the father of the petitioner had failed.
