JUDGEMENT

(1.) PETITIONER has approached this Court impugning the letter dated 25.3.2002 (Annexure P-15) vide which the request of the petitioner, as recommended, has been rejected by the Director, Agriculture, Punjab for change of cadre from the post of Laboratory Assistant to that of Clerk.

(2.) IT is the contention of the counsel for the petitioner that similarly placed employee namely Smt. Anita Rani vide a order dated 25.1.1999 (Annexure P-16) has been granted the benefit of change of cadre from the post of Laboratory Assistant to that of Clerk, whereas the said benefit has not been granted to the petitioner. It is further asserted that two other similarly placed employees namely Sh. Rajwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh, have already been granted the benefit. Action of the respondents in rejecting the claim of the petitioner vide order dated 25.3.2002 (Annexure P-15) is, thus, not sustainable and deserves to be quashed.
