(1.) HAKAM Singh, the petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered by way of FIR No. 116 dated 30.3.2010 at Police Station Samana, District Patiala, for an offence punishable under sections 302, 307, 323, 324, 325, 382 and 397 IPC read with section 34 IPC.
(2.) LEARNED counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 23.5.2010. According to him, earlier the petitioner moved a petition for bail, which was dismissed as withdrawn. According to him, by way of that order, a direction was given to the trial court to expedite the trial and it was also directed that the same may be concluded within six months. According to him, the petitioner was given liberty to apply for bail again if the trial was not concluded within six months.
(3.) LEARNED State counsel, on the other hand, submits that the petitioner caused gandasa blow on the right leg of the deceased. According to him, same is the injury attributed to Baljinder Singh also. He further submits that out of thirty witnesses cited at the trial, only three doctors have been examined in this case so far.
