JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to recompute and redetermine the over all rank secured by the petitioner on All India and State Level in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2013 conducted by respondent Nos. 2 and 5, on the basis of revised Marks Statement issued by respondent Nos.2 and 3 for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination,2013.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 2.4.2013, the petitioner had appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) 2013 conducted by respondent No.2 for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes at NITs and other Centrally funded technical institutions and several other institutions including the institution funded by several participating State Governments.

(3.) In the said examination, the petitioner had secured 80 marks in Paper-1 and 186 marks in paper-II, the result whereof was declared by respondent No.2. on 07.5.2013.
