(1.) IN the petition filed by the petitioner she has sought issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to ensure her safety so that she might not become a victim of continuous oppression at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 11. Prayer was also made that respondents No. 1 to 3 be asked not to register any FIR against her.
(2.) ACCORDING to the petitioner, she was married to respondent No. 4 and three children were born from that wed-lock. However, respondent No. 4 had been harassing and humiliating her. He was used to drinking and had shunted her out of the matrimonial home. Despite the fact that three children were born from the marriage, the behaviour of respondent No. 4 did not change. Left with no other option she came back to her parents' place and apprised them about her sad plight. However, she was not accepted back by her parents by telling her that she had married with respondent No. 4 and she should live with them in the manner he likes. However, the petitioner instead of joining respondent No. 4 met one Ajit Singh, who is her relative, and started staying with him. Apprehending that she might be harassed or beaten by respondent Nos. 4 to 11, she filed the present petition seeking issuance of necessary directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to ensure her safety and also for directing the police not to register any case against her.
(3.) TO 11 and expressed her wish to stay with Ajit Singh who was distantly related to her. Ajit Singh was also present in the Court, who stated that he was 28 years of age and was not married and at that point of time the petitioner stated that she had no objection if she be kept in the Nari Niketan till further hearing of her petition. Accordingly, while issuing notice, the Court directed that, as wished by her, the petitioner be kept in Nari Niketan. 4. The petitioner has been produced from Nari Niketan, Chandigarh and has been made to sit with her mother and the three children for good amount of time. Later on, when asked by the Court, she stated that she, along with her children, wants to accompany her mother to her village. She has also informed the Court that she does not intend to go back to her in- laws place and rather would apply for dissolution of the marriage.
