JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has prayed for issuing of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No. 2 to issue appointment letter to the petitioner for her selection as Staff Nurse and further, to direct respondent No. 3 to give her posting station at Ludhiana.

(2.) The petitioner served in the Indian Army and was promoted to the rank of Major. After completing school education, she joined the Military Nursing Service as a Trainee of 31.12.1974. The petitioner passed the General Nursing Certificate in the year 1977. She served in various hospitals of the Army, Navy, Air Force throughout India.

(3.) In the year 1998, when the petitioner was posted at Jalandhar Cantt, as Captain, she got married. Her age at the time of marriage was 35 years.
