VEER SINGH AND ANOTHER Vs. THE STATE OF HARYANA THROUGH ITS SECRETARY, DEPTT. OF EDUCATION, HARYANA, CIVIL SECRETARIAT, AT CHANDIGARH AND ANOTHER

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner's claim that they were entitled to be considered for promotion to the post of Lecturer before anyone junior to them could be promoted. It is averred that Mr. Amar Singh, Mathematics Master, was promoted as Lecturer vide orders dated May 7, 1990 before the petitioner, in spite of the fact that he is junior to them.

(2.) Mr., Jaswant Singh appearing for the respondents points out that both the petitioners have since been promoted vide orders dated Dec. 11,1991.

(3.) No written statement has been filed on behalf of the respondents. Learned counsel for the respondents, however, points out that the factum regarding the seniority of the petitioner vis-a-vis Amar Singh, has yet to be clarified. In case, it is found that the petitioners are senior to Sh. Amar Singh, the requisite relief would be given to the petitioners expeditiously.
