MANJINDER SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) MANJINDER Singh and his wife Dalbir Kaur have filed this petition for bail in case FIR No. 67 dated 23.6.2009 under sections 304-B, 34 IPC now charged under section 302 IPC, Police Station Sri Hargobindpur, District Gurdaspur.

(2.) PETITIONERS are parents-in-law of the deceased who died six months after her marriage.

(3.) DELAY in the trial has occurred because in view of judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court charge which had been framed under section 304-B IPC initially, was amended to add alternative charge under section 302 IPC. Report has come from the trial court that by now only four witnesses have been examined after amendment of charge and one has been given up.
